Long time lurker, I figured it was finally time to actually register an account.

I've been brewing cider for years, with the occasional foray into meads/melomels/wines made from wild fruits I find, but I'm also a huge beer fan, just never gotten around to making a batch due to living in a tiny studio apartment. Just not too sure about the boiling and chilling, I don't know if my tiny stove can handle it, and I don't have any good way to chill it (or the space for more equipment). But I'll probably bite the bullet and give it a try anyway one of these days... When I do, I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions. Hopefully I can repay the favor by sharing some pointers about cider I've learned over the years (learned the hard way, of course).

welcome! you are in a great area for homebrew. Two of the best shops in the country at your disposal. Cant go wrong with either NorthernBrewer or Midwest. If you are worried about chilling, search for 'no chill' there are alot of people doing that. Small stives make it tough but not impossible, do you have an outside area where you can use a turkey fryer burner?
