So I literally found this board about 3 minutes ago, and already I have been inclined to register and both learn and contribute.
My name is Brandon - I hail from the Midwest. More specifically, Chicago. I have an extreme appreciation for all things beer. From the lowly Miller Lite used to drink specifically for the purpose of getting drunk - or for playing drinking games. To beers that are best enjoyed with dinners or on their own - like Guinness (the best substitute for a bread plate), Delerium, Three Floyds...IPAs, Stouts.. mmmmm - and the list can go on. If its beer, I'll try it once. If I like it, I'll buy a case.
I spend a lot of time lately reading - books on Chicago History, History of Fire Departments, Brewing, Biographies, etc. I am also a movie collector. If it comes out on DVD I eventually want it to make it into my collection. Thats why you have to love the $5 bin at Wal-Mart!
Anyways-
I am a first time brewer (I threw together my first batch of American Ale yesterday) and am looking forward to the results. I plan on brewing fairly regularly and will be trying to learn as many different tips and tricks along the way. I look forward to any and all advice lent my way and will always share with you the outcome of the batch!
Cheers!
