Hi all,
I'm BrewdogSC the South Carolina version. Been brewing for a few years, thought I would join y'all to see what's going on and pick up on some different points of view.

Cheers.

Hey BrewdogSC. Welcome. I added the SC to my longtime user ID because I lived in Greenville (actually Simpsonville) when I first had internet access. I'm now near Boston, which was a quite a switch moving from SC. One thing I like about brewing here, is the water coming out of the tap is really cold this time of year, and it makes cooling wort really quick!!

Stop by The Beacon form me and have one "a plenty" for me!!

Best of Luck!

Thanks prandlesc, the Beacon is a little to greasy for me. Thanks for the great welcome!

Hey Brewdog,
Welcome to the web... This is The place to find out Anything about brewing. The only trouble maybe a bit of info overload.
If you're in Spartanburg, you may want to stop in at the Growler Haus and catch the next Spartanburg Brew Crew meeting. We just had the Feb. get together on the 19th and some of us are planning a Brewery Crawl in Asheville for an upcoming weekend.
PM me if you'd like to know more, and Keep Brewing!

BrewdogSC ..

Did you know the guy at the Beacon .. who called out the orders passed away. He had a fall or some sort of accident and died of complications. I have never eaten there .. but the place is legendary .. and was featured on that "triple D" .. food network show. The host of the show even tried his hand at .. at calling out some of the orders .. with some coaching from main man himself. It was very entertaining. I am sure the order caller guy is greatly missed by everyone who enjoyed The Beacon experience. May he RIP.

.. prandlesc ... I meant to direct The Beacon info to you .. about the guy passing away.

I didn't know J.C personally, but he did take my order. He was as fun as he was famous. When you got to the counter to order, he'd yell "Call it". If you weren't ready to order, he say "Step aside", and to keep the line moving, he'd yell "Walk and talk". Like brewdog said, the Beacon's a little greasy, good, but not something I'd eat every day. J.C. died last September. And your memory is right in that he fell, suffered a brain injury and died later as a result of that.

Reelmower and prandlesc,
I didn't know JC personally either, but the few times I went to the beacon, he was there taking your orders, and if you weren't ready he would get you to move to the side. His passing made local news here for a few days and I'm sure patrons if the Beacon are missing him.
