Hello Hello
I am very excited about this:)
Time to start reading

I grew up down there and my parents still live in KZN. What's the brewing scene like in SA? I gather a fair few small breweries have opened up, but it just seems impossible imagining anyone drinking anything other than Castle.

Anyway, welcome and brew on, my china.

Welcome boet! I'm from Australia but lived in South Africa for two years in Jbay. It's actually where I started brewing with a few mates! Which part are you from?

It never ceases to amaze me how diverse this site is becoming. I guess the fellowship & goodwill we have around here is really getting noticed. I live in Sheffield, Ohio & we have a lot of English-related folks around here. Makes it more interesting that I brew some English beers like the Burton from Sheffield, UK & Burton-upon-Trent. Anyway, you'll find that which you seek here! :mug:

My parents also live in Kzn at the moment and i Currently live on a farm in Cape Town we are however setting up our own small micro brewery:D

The brewing scene in South Africa has had a massive boom in the past year or 2 with i think we reaching nearly 60- 80 craft brewies it is like i have died and gone to heaven hahaha there is always a new brew coming out:)
