Hey everyone. I'm a student just finishing up my college degree this term (Micro/Molecular Biology) and plan on purchasing all of my equipment soon. I hope to have my first batch going sometime in May. This site looks like it will be a wealth of information, so that you all for the time you contribute to this place!

Welcome to HBT.. I've just started out and love it.. I'm just up the way from ya..

Where are you in school at? I went to grad school at UO and I can say Oregon is one of the best places to go to college and become a beer enthusiast. You probably have some amazing LHBS (Local Homebrew Stores) nearby and incredible breweries all around you.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I'm at Portland State right downtown, so I'm certainly in beer mecca haha. And thank you, now I finally know what the hell LHBS stands for!

If you need help finding which LHBS is best for kits and the like, be sure to ask here in the extract forum. I know how to find grain really cheap in Portland, but not kits.

Anyway, have fun on the boards, we Oregonians are definitely outnumbered...so speak up!
