Greetings from Nashville, TN area

I just recently signed up here with the intention of learning about and discussing mead! A very good friend of mine intrigued me recently when he posted a picture of his fermenting blackberry mead on facebook - I started reading about mead and was instantly hooked. I'm also frequent poster on another forum called Volnation (Tennessee vols football) which is regarded as a high quality forum as far as layout and accessibility goes. I'd just like to say this forum is similarly laid out and I'm very happy to be here with other home brew enthusiasts!

Anyone else out there hail from Tennessee?

I'm in Nashville…I would suggest getting up with the guys in music city brewers on Facebook. It's a local brew club and monthly meetings. They are all very helpful and a wealth of knowledge.
