I've been helping various breweries in the Denver area can, bottle, etc for a while, but I've more recently gotten bit by the brewing bug myself. I've already found this site to be extremely helpful!

Thanks!

My first attempt recently was an extract clone of Spotted Cow (Speckled Bovine). It turned out alright, but the mouth feel and back end were lacking. I'm hoping my Chicago friend can mail me a case before too long so I can side-by-side with the OG.

In the meantime I'm prepping for a stout and a cider in the next week or so. I've been slowly accumulating gear over the last few months to do kegging instead of bottling next time around.

Welcome to the fold fellow Denverrite!

I've been meaning to try a cider myself. Unfortunately I have waaaay to many beers I want to try first...

Cheers!

If you have any good source suggestions, let me know!

I'm originally from Missouri and there's a million apple orchards, but out here, seems fewer and harder to find unless you go to the western slope.

You can usually find unpasteurized apple juice at many of the farmers markets around town. Especially around this time of the year.
Some of the farms also sell goods from other farms in the area. Seems like people on the western slope like to bring shipments into Denver because it's easier to sell here.
