After 2 knee surgeries, I have been forced to give up sports and find a new hobby. After lurking on this site for a few days I am extremely excited about my decision to begin brewing my own beer. I have just purchased my brew kit and will be buying the ingredients for my fist 2 batches.

Initially I would like to keep my batches small (2-3 gallon range), so that I can keep my supply low and allow me to experiment with more varieties, and perfect recipes. Otherwise my wife would have a fit.

None the less, I am glad I found this site and plan on being a regular participant.
My first brew will probably be a Brown Ale. I may also try either a small recipe kit for a stout or that Sweetwater 420 recipe I found on this site.

I welcome all advise.
Thanks

Sorry to hear about the knee - happy to hear about the beer!

Brewiz- Thanks for the info. I have joined the group.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. I am in Sandy Springs and patronize the Brew Depot for my supplies.

Welcome from the west side of town. I lived in NOLA for a couple of years in mid 90's - Tulane "student"
