Hi All,
I'm looking to split a 5G batch of Blonde Ale. I know what I want for one half, but for the other I was thinking of green tea. It's basically done fermenting and I need to keg it soon, so I am looking for something I can add to the keg directly.

Do you think a green tea will come through in a keg? Would green tea pair well with the 0.5oz US Magnum bittering hops I used in the beer?

Thanks in Advance. Any other recommendations for pairing would be interesting also.

Thanks,
Frank

I think that you should be fine mixing it with the magnum seeing that any tea flavor( especially green tea) should be a minor note in 2.5 gal of beer. Are you planning on using raw leafs for actual tea bags? Sounds neat though!
Brew on!

Green tea should work. I usually split my additions between adding brewed to primary and then dry-teaing before bottling. I use 25g each time and get pleasent results. I also recommend using a Japanese variety.

In a blond ale I can see it as I once had a lovely blond with jasmine tea. Just such a great drinker.
