I mean Grateful*! I've been lurking for a few months now and just bottled my first batch of hard apple cider today. I just wanted to introduce myself, but most of all thank the community for all the great, informative threads. The methods I've discovered here (bottle filler on Italian spigot over dishwasher, 90 elbow dip tube, dishwasher sanitizing bottles) made the whole process so easy! Thanks! Below is the recipe I used. 1 can FAJC 2 cups light brown sugar 1 tsp yeast nutrient 1 tsp yeast (1/2 packet) 1 3/4 bottles apple cider Thaw FAJC in sauce pan, invert BS. Add 1 bottle of cider to 1gal carboy. Add inverted sugar to carboy. Add yeast nutrient and yeast. Shake vigorously. Top off carboy. Take OG reading. Og 1.085 1 can FAJC thawed 3 FAJC cans water 1/2 gal apple cider Combine FAJC, water & apple cider in bottling bucket. Rack carboy to bottling bucket. Stir. Bottle.
