Are you going to read (and think about) my damn posts or not?

The point was not to knock the Pack; in fact, I've been rooting for them to do well. The point was not to say anything negative about Green Bay, just that this game is critical in that it's the first time all year that they've had a real tough opponent. Same as New England playing Indianapolis.

F*ck it, I'm rooting for the 'Boys, just to piss you off... :D

C'MON, DALLAS!

sniff sniff... I smell 10k porn coming soon!

And so VERY proud of it. :rockin:

I would say that Cowboys fans hate the 'skins just as much, but it just isn't true. It's been so long since they've been good enough to keep the good 'ol rivalry alive. They need to throw down a beating to get it fired up again. I think we'll be waiting for a while for that to happen. ;)

Plus, it would be distasteful to be hatin' on your team with their recent loss.

Now the Eagles are a different story. I have loathed them and their fans for years - every since they hammered my boy Troy over and over again and cheered when Michael Irvin got hurt. I was almost rooting for them to beat the Pats. Still need a little more time, though.

I hate the eagles almost as much...and yeah, it does have something to do with their ******* fans. I do believe their stadium is the only one in the NFL with a built-in jail. Brotherly Love? Ha. I do believe that if we were playing in Philly this weekend, those dirtbag fans up there would all boo during the moment of silence for ST.

You are right, though...it's been way too long since we've been much good. I blame it on DS. He needs to hire a GM. Just because you have a bunch of money and have been a skins fan all your life doesn't mean you're qualified to manage an NFL team. The kind of $$ he's thrown at this team (with minimal results) is astounding. I'm also guessing that Gibbs' time here is limited, though DS had better get himself an armored convoy and some kevlar suits if he decides to go that route. Even if Joe went 0-16, the fans wouldn't stand for his dismissal.

Now, if he can manage to hang on to Campbell, Moss, Randle El, and a few core defensive players, we might have a chance. But it's always a crapshoot with that ADD bastard.

C'MON, DALLAS!

I did read your post. It makes no friggin sense. Every game in our division is a dogfight. The Bears, despite how they have been playing, are still the defending NFC champs. The Lions were on the verge of being pretty tough. The Vikings (if they get halfway decent QB play) are a legit team combined with that defense. FWIW, the Packers whupped the Vikings 34-0 just 3 weeks ago. They completely **** down Peterson and Taylor. Yeah, those same two guys who put up nearly 300 yards a piece vs. San Diego and Oakland. Real mediocre.

Look, I'm not blinded by the Packers success. But, do you think part of the reason the Packer's opponent's record is the way it is is because the Packers beat them? That skews the winning percentage a tad, doesn't it?

This Packer team is exactly like the Packer team from 1995. They are on the verge of being great. But not there yet. They'll lose tonight because of that, they aren't quite there yet. But to discredit the team because they happen to be winning against an entirely mediocre NFC really isn't saying much.

I could say that about the Patriots as well. They beat 2 good teams this year. The rest have been mediocre or much worse even. Go ahead, compare the winning % of the teams the Packers played against the teams the Pats played. I can't wait to see the results.

What part of "I don't mean this disrespectfully, they just haven't beaten a top-tier team yet" is so tough to comprehend?

Every team they've faced in the NFC has been middle-of-the-road. That's life in the NFC. No judgment is attached to that statement, it's a matter of simple fact. Yes, the Lions and Bears are decent teams (at least during most weeks), but neither would stand a chance against Indy or Pitt (to say nothing about the Pats).

To say that Green Bay has not yet proven themselves against superior teams is not the same thing as saying that Green Bay is not a good team; there just is not enough evidence yet. We'll see how they stand after tonight.

But you know what? F*ck it, at this point, I don't really care.

But you are comparing apples to apples. The AFC is mediocre or possibly even worse than the NFC. The "bad" NFC teams are probably much better than the "bad" AFC teams. But it doesn't matter. You are implying the Packers haven't played anyone tough yet, whereas your team beats up on teams much worse than ANYONE the Packers (or Cowboys. minus the one game) have played this year, yet they are so much further superior. It doesn't make sense.

I don't think bird was comparing GB and NE.

Sorry, I'm speaking for him because he's busy with 10k. :p

Yea, I think the AFC/NFC is not nearly as lopsided as it was last year. More like equal IMO. Where's Cincy, San Diego, Denver etc etc.

hey bird, did you see sportsnation ranked the Packers #1 and the Pats #2 this week?

(Trying to desperately lure him into wasting that 10k post!)

I've got your back Dude. Take the Pats schedule to this point and give it to the Packers OR the Cowboys and they'd both be 1 loss teams, possibly undefeated (obviously Dallas can't play themselves, so sub in someone who is comparable) - with that loss *maybe* coming at the hands of the Colts.

Have I mentioned that the Lions have THE most difficult schedule remaining in the entire league? They're going to blow the playoffs... I just know it.

No, he wasn't comparing them directly. I know that. I' am trying to get him to realize that even his do-no-wrong team hasn't played a schedule full of non-mediocre teams either. I am trying to get him to realize that all of the good teams in the NFL are beating up on mediocre talent, ALL of them. When he picks out GB as a team that hasn't beat anyone yet, it applies to the whole league.

Man did we ge hosed on that call.
Harris had the ball.

Gumble has misidentified the teams twice. He sucks.

Yeah, good to see the refs are gonna call it fair tonight.

I'm listening to Wayne and Larry on Sirius radio. It is SO nice not to have to listen to the bumbling willberries on NFL Network.

Why not do what got you to 10-1, McCarthy? Why did we throw 12 deep balls when we should have been controlling the clock?

Sorry, but our own coach didn't give us a chance tonight.

I don't have a warm fuzzy about any comeback. Down 10 at the half is encouraging but the defense was outclassed in the first half. They could score at will. I cannot believe we aren't blitzing Romo. He has time for a sandwich back there on every play.

Well, Dude, the silver lining for you is that bird's behind the 8-ball now in FFB with Favre out. But I'd rather have him in there.
