Checked my beer today and it was reading 1.014. Last week it was 1.015. Terminal on the recipe states that it should be 1.012. Its already in a secondary. Should I wait another week or so to bottle??

Opinions please...............:rockin:

Sounds like you racked to secondary too soon. Always leave it in primary till you get a stable FG. Just give it a few days & check it again. I don't secondary at all unless I'm adding fruit, oaking,or the like. Many of us have found the times in the instructions are def too short. You can't rush the yeast, they work in their own good time.:mug:

Yeah the times in these directions are def too short. I'm already two weeks past what they said to do. I guess I'll check it for the next three days and go from there. If its stable then I'll bottle.

Could be done. 1.014 isn't far off 1.012 at all.

Also, +1 on the faulty kit instructions. I've found those are best suited for use as a placemat for my yeast starter as I bring it to temp.

I used them crumpled up at the bottom of my chimney charcoal starter when doing low-n-slow pit bbq. It's pretty big. But Smokey seems to like it as well!:D
