Today my battalion is celebrating the Marine Corps Birthday. I have been practicing all week for the ceremony. We had practice at noon today, in preparation for for tonights birthday ball. So before practice I took a bunch of Marines out to my truck and poured some glasses from my growler... The response was awesome!! One Marine asked where can I go to buy this.... another stated I am going to drink this slow so I can savor the flavor... I then told them that I made it... I think half still don't believe me... but it was gratifying as I always critique my beers harsh... The beer I made was an IPA.. Just wanted to share that info.

That's awesome; congratulations. I'm still waiting for gratification from my beers. I am pretty much 1-2, but I think I know where my probelms were: hot fermentation.

Thats awseome to read GySgtLynn!!! Im a newb my self but hope to someday to get the same reaction from those who try my beer. A big Semper Fi and Thank You and your Marine Brothers for your service!!

Reevy, we will try to stay sober, the real drinking will be taking place after the ceremony. Ale Mongrel thanks for your kind words...
