Has anyone just used GF flavored vodka instead of zesting, soaking, etc.?
Did it work? Sounds a lot easier. Can anyone come up with a reason why it would be a bad idea?

Fresh chopped grapefruit and hops in a Randall?

Typically when you add grapefruit zest in vodka, the vodka is only used to sanitize the zest, and sparingly at most. Flavored vodkas are far too diluted to result in any appreciable flavor; you’d end up tasting the vodka well before the grapefruit came through.
