I have the ability to purchase a Grainfather T500 with counterflow chiller, boiler and conical fermenter for $70. Seems like a steal.
I’m currently only brewing about 2-3 times a year. But I’m brewing 10 gallon batches and often do a parti gyle to get another lower abv beer out of the brew day. My system is a diy keggle and cooler mash tun HERMS system that runs off Craft beer pi 3.
I like all sorts of beers, but especially brewing a barley wine every year and a lot of Saisons and IPAs.
I feel that I might brew more often if it was in the kitchen closer to my family instead of outside or in the shop.
What are people’s thoughts on this system? Is it too much of a step backwards? Advice? Just looking for input
