*shrug* When I heard "natural cut fries" my first thought were fries with the skins on them. I've seen them referred to that way for a long time. It's how I make them at home if I do fries from scratch. I never thought they'd be some kind of organic, hippy french fry.

Never heard of anybody calling them that way. Actually, prompted by your post, I googled "natural cut". All I got were articles (lots of them) about Wendy's fries.

Could be. I said many times that my English is limited.

Don't worry. I know many people with a 200% grasp of the English language that have a hard time understanding the subtleness of many of Gila's posts. But if/when you do get it; they're darn funny. I think he might be Dennis Miller.....

Is this thread still going? You've already been proven wrong, just let it go...

Maybe you could explain?:)

At this point, I'm not even sure answering to your post is worth the waste of my time. This last post of yours leads me to believe that either you're BEYOND STUPID, or you're just as dishonest as the Wendy's people, or worse.
This thread is about HONESTY IN ADVERTISING, not about natural food. I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT NATURAL FOOD. Is that clear enough for you, or do you need me to draw you a picture?

Not the point at all. Even retarded customers have rights, and one basic right is to get what you pay for. And yes, if it's not true, it's dishonest, period. Wendy's fries are not any more "natural" than those from any other fast food joint, so using the word "natural" to create a false difference in the customers' minds is dishonest, any way you want to look at it.

By the way: in case I wasn't clear enough before, no, I didn't believe Wendy's advertising from the get go. I don't like Wendy's, but, even if I did, I know better than to believe their BS.

After this post, I have concluded that you, sir, are either Ignatius J. Reilly, or TrailerTrashBrewer. Either way, you don't know when to quit when you have obviously been proven wrong so many times.

Marketing is just that marketing, if your not going to be happy with someone trying to sell their product with flashy slogans and fancy buzz words your not going to buy anything.

I from this day forward will never buy a french fry again until they make an organic healthy fry.

I will never buy another non stick frying pan until I can Actually use metal utensils in it without removing the non stick coating

I will never buy another car unless I can actually get the MPG they advertise.

I will never again chase a woman with a large behind unless said behind can be compared side by side with Donkey Kong and truly be said to have it going on by at least an equal amount.

I don't understand how those thieves can get away with calling them French. I disagree with the use of that word in marketing!

Those potatoes aren't from France at all!

That's IT BOYCOTT THEM ALL!

Actually, Jack in the Box called them "Natural Cut Fries" when they left the skins on too. Did for years.

I bet part of their motivation is that they have removed one-step in their process, which means it saves them time and money, and then the bonus marketing ploy so it all costs them less, and they sell more fries for the same price.

Actually I find similar things to be real pissers (kick in the pants). Some company will find a way to do something in a much simpler and cheaper manner and then they will tout some new advantage, and charge us more, when their costs went down.

I recently heard a commercial for a $$ naturalish food product that was saying their product was so much better because they used pure cane juice, not refined sugar. So they used a less refined product (cheaper to buy) and are charging us more for the final product. Plus "pure cane sugar juice" WTF does that mean? There is nothing pure about unrefined cane juice. Does that mean I can say my beer is pure, because it only has beer in it?

You should've seen the face of the girl at the first Burger King I went to when I came to the US, when, with my almost non existent English at the time, I was trying to buy a burger and some "fried potatoes"...:D:D

I seem to barely remember that ad...
Anyways the pure sugarcane juice is exactly that. They take the sugarcane, and run it through a machine very similar to a roller type grain crusher, extracting the juice.
If you ever come to Miami, and you see somebody selling "guarapo", try it. It's really good (sweet as hell, but good).

Funny thing is, they have to ADD steps that both Five-Guys and In-N-Out don't have to do since both of them slice their potatoes in-house just before they go in the fryer. :D
