I actually just finished the cleanup from my first homebrew boil attempt. I guess its just wait and hope from here. Really curious as to how it will work out due to some unforseen beginner type issues. If nothing else, I learned a bunch. I look forward to learning a whole lot more from you guys about beer and the homebrewing process.

Hey, hey....looks like KY isn't just all about bourbon. I am bout halfway between Louisville and Cincinatti on 71. Anybody near there?

Welcome! I am also new. I live in Lexington. What beer did you brew? I am sure it will turn out great.

I chose an IPA extract for my first brew. Everything is bottled now and should be ready to taste test in a little over a week. It seemed to ferment really quickly so I checked the gravity on consecutive days and it was stable. It also matched up w/ the recipe so all is well I assume.
