I brewed my first batch 8 days ago and i'm not sure when to rack to secondary, there are about 13 seconds between bubbles in the airlock and i can still see a little action going on in side the carboy, should i rack now or give it a little longer thanks guys! and Gals!!

Agree....what gravity reading did you start with and where are you at right now? What type are you brewing? With that said, nothing wrong with letting it sit for a while longer if need be.

I started with a redhook IPA and the OG was at 1.052 and i just took one and it is at 1.024

By your readings this is only a 3.6 or 3.7 ABV beer right now and the FG reading is a little low. I would probably wait a little longer and take a reading tomarrow if there is no change I would rack it to a secondary fermenter.

you want AT LEAST 60 seconds between bubbles in the airlock before transfering it over to the secondary. You want to make sure you the fermentation is all but done before transfering it. You may get a little fermentation right after you transfer it since you may kick up some trub/yeast but you want to leave the fermentation to the primary and clarifying to the secondary.
