I was at work the other day and ran into the "Water Cooler" guy making his delivery. I asked him about glass carboys and he told me that they sell them for $10 buck. I thought that was a steal. My guy delivers for "Ideal Water". Now if only there was a grain delivery guy. BTW I got two.

That is a good deal. Our water guy brings plastic carboys and although Better Bottles are popular, I'm not sure if the ones that water come in are of the same quality.

I have heard that the Pepsi delivery guy will make deals on cornies though . . . may have to hit him up for that when I go to kegging.

$10 for a carboy is awesome!

And if you have a line on kegs that are cheap, get them now before the deal goes away. You'll want them. But DON'T get rootbeer kegs. That smell never comes out.

Cheers :D

Never thought about asking the Pepsi guy about cornies, sounds great. My little bro told me never use plastic carboys, they will let O2 in. Lets hit up the Bud guy too while we are at it.

Yeah, I think that's what distinguishes a regular 'ol plastic carboy from the Better Bottles. I've never used one, but they are supposed to be O2 proof.

As far as old Pepsi cornies go, I've read on other threads on this forum that you'll want to do a refurb of all the gaskets if you end up getting some from the Pepsi guy. I don't know where that thread is, but somebody said refurb kits were only like five bucks. I guess the old gaskets can retain some of the pop syrup flavor.
