I am looking to make a Golden Strong/Tripel 1.070+- and a Pilsner 1.048+- with 1 mash. Given the specs below, does this sound right?
Pot 1 is 30 gallons and Pot 2 is 15 gallons.
Due to the amount of yeast and starter sizes I can make:
- 20 gallons of Golden Strong/Tripel (Pot 1). Fermenting half with Duvel Yeast and half with WLP500.
- 9 gallons Pilsner (Pot 2). 3 packets of saflager-34/70
Since both Malt bills are 100% Pilsner, I just added both together. my efficiency is 70%
60 lbs Pilsner
5 lbs of cane sugar for the Belgian
I use RO water. Any mineral additions recommended to the mash for a combo of these styles?
I have 12oz of noble hops. 4oz Styrian Goldings, 4oz Hallertau and 4oz Saaz. Thinking to bitter with Warrior for the Belgian to stretch the noble hops out.
How does this look for the hops?
BGS:
1.5 oz warrior @ 90
4oz Styrian @ 10
Pilsner:
2oz Hallertau @ 90
1oz saaz @ 45
3oz saaz @ 10
2oz hallertau @ 0
