A friend and I are brewing 10 gals of a Fat Tire clone (AG) this weekend and we're going to pitch WYeast 1272 American Ale II on one half and WYeast 1099 Whitbread on the other. It seems a bit unorthodox for a Fat Tire clone, but what do you think about pitching the 1099 Whitbread?

Fat tire is a pretty moderate beer (not too hoppy, strong etc...) I think it could work fine with just about any yeast (as long as you don't care how close it is to the original).

The recipe I'm using is going to be a little heavier (affectionately known as fat ass tire) so it being exactly like fat tire isn't important. Just using that style as a starting point.
