I've been thinking about doing it for a while, finally just grew a pair and did it. Just ordered a 2nd shank/faucet for my fridge/keggarator, a magnetic stir plate, a johnson temp controller, and everything I need for another batch of Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale.

Wife will prolly complain some about spending that much cash on brewing stuff but it should last me a long while, so it's worth it :ban:

Well, if you can afford it then why not... My wife doesn't like when I buy something big, but when all the bills are paid and to date, and I have enough to cover next month, she can't argue when I want to spend an extra $100 from my savings on something I really want... Good luck!

I've been trying to get my wife to let me buy a craigslist freezer or fridge to ferment in.... still debating if I should just pull the trigger. It's always easier to ask for forgiveness than permission!

How long have you been married. I find the asking for forgiveness part to be quite painful. :)

Although I have an awesome wife who really doesn't care what I buy as long as we have the money for it so the asking permission part is easy. It is only when I do something without even running it by her she gets upset.

I picked up two from CL one for $20 and the other for $35 I think. I converted one to a kegarator and the other will be my fermentation chamber once it starts to get hot here in KS again.

I have been out of brewing for a while. Told my SO that I wanted to get back into brewing. She responded that I never buy anything for myself and to do what I needed to do. I am slowly collecting bits to get back into it.
