I have a local kitchen store selling glass "water" 5 gallon carboy for $33. It says do not pressurize. This is designed for use with water on the box.
I am wondering if it could be used as a secondary. Anyone have a reason why not?

Thanks!

all of the new ones say water on the box, none of them are designed to hold pressure. Its a standard glass carboy.

The airlock relieves the pressure of the co2 formed inside of the carboy during fermentation so there's no excessive pressure.
