I am getting married Jan 31st, and want to brew something special for my groomsmen. I was thinking a Belgian quad brewed in the next month or so and bottle conditioned until a couple of weeks before the wedding.

By all means all advice is welcome. If you want to mail me a bomber or whatever of something you recommend, I will send you an empty bomber back as well as the shipping cost, and a thank you note. Just IM me, and I'll IM you my address.

I need something that can age well. Thanks guys. Once again all advice is more than welcome. :)

My experience is that lower alcohol is good whether for pre wedding drinking or bachelor party. Starting things off with high ABV just wears the party out early. After that it is a question of what folks like to drink and finding something that will go over in the crowd.

I love your signature, I did start a topic in the general section, Hoping that goes well, about what my wedding beer should be. If that topic goes well, so be it. If not, well I'll brew a Chimay blue clone.

Are you brewing it as a gift or something to drink during the wedding? I brewed a rye saison for my groomsmen as a take home gift. It was a special beer for them because it was a first for me, I tend to stick to hoppy beers and stouts.

If they share a common taste, brew something they'll enjoy.

I've thought about something similar for when I eventually get married (since swmbo and I have been talking about it). Ill probably do a 5gal batch of a stout, likely bourbon aged. My close friends enjoy them, and I can throw some of the bottles down in the cellar for the anniversary celebration.
