Galaxy are propietary, like Citra etc, so you won't find them for open sale (unless you want to enter into a heavy-duty legal contract...)

Yeah, I inquired to a few of the hop farms that sell rhizomes/plants and they mentioned exactly the same legal bla bla bla.

Any optional plants that are similar? besides the cenn. and cascade.

That legal bla bla is no different to if you wanted to use an Intel computer chip or an Adele song - the people who "invent" something are entitled to some legal protection over it, to give them an incentive to keep inventing stuff.

The usual suspects in the public domain are Cascade, Centennial and Chinook, which have recently been joined by Cashmere. You may be able to get hold of some of the Japanese ones like Kirin II and Sorachi Ace. But there's nothing really like any of the "classic" NEIPA hops in the public domain if that's what you're after.

What is the legal crap? I'm ok signing something that says I won't sell the hops or rizomes etc. I'd even consider paying a per pound license fee or something.

There’s a whole lot more to it than that. It’s just not going to happen for individual enthusiasts.

I just ordered some top secret variety hop plant.

By ordering I agreed to give them my first born grandchild's spleen and also I have to always vote for the McGillicuddy Serious Party.
