4lb Light DME
1 lb Marris Otter
.5 lb Crystal 55L
.25 lb Honey Malt

Handful of Marris Otter and Oats toasted in the oven at 275F for 30 minutes.
Also got a little excited threw in like 5 grains of roasted barley and some special B.

S04

Just kegged this beer. Sitting outside on 50 PSI. Reached 1.016 IN ONE ****ING DAY!

I picked a great day to get sick... So you'll have to do the drinking without
me :(

so how's saturday night for you guys? I'm thinking of having a few people over my house to celebrate my birthday (tomorrow), celebrate the hopefully finished freezer, and also because I left super early saturday night for a party that was actually extra lame but I wasn't the driver.

Saturday night. I also have enough space for 1 or 2 more ball lock kegs (pinlocks are too fat for fitting in my freezer) in my freezer if anyone wants their beer on tap (I can't wait)

Sounds good to me. I'm going to a work party Friday as well. Partayy weekend. :tank:

Hell, don't need room in the keezer, just set it outside.

It won't be too cold Saturday night. Besides, in the keezer means on tap (like with a faucet and everything)

I'm moving on up

hahaha mine were shipped sometime in october... I'm finally reaching the finish line.

then I gotta add all my regs and lines and make it all look good. add a fan. some more insulation and the list goes on

so everyone should come to my house saturday night to try out chris and mine's ESB and Robust Porter.

and also to break in my nearly finished project.

Looks awesome. Wish I could make it but I'm tied up for the week til next Friday. Gotta help my Party Pig get over Barron's sexual assault on it last week.....

lmao. alright

yo chris tell jason so he can come if he wants. also barron, and whomever else is not on here I guess?.. I dont have either one's number.

im sitting in a airport at the carolina beer co. with 3 hours to kill. guess im gettting drunk. there ipa is quite tasty.

i think i was just happy at first to be having a beer. it had been a long day of traveling. once i had some time to analyze it i became less happy( i should say less hoppy because for an ipa it lacked hops).

Gawddamnit. Apparently, I am unable to make a starter. I'm like 3 for 8. Seriously. Gonna pitch some of that dry Belgian yeast t-58 and hope my Vienna-based Belgian pale ale doesn't such.

Also, got 5 gal of Chris's Graff going now and DAMN it smells fantastic right now. It'll prob start throwing some sulfur but for now its burping pure sweet apple frangrence.

I never noticed it throwing up sulfur.

BTW, the graff's not my recipe, it's Brandon O's. Got to give credit where credit is due ...

I thank the bank for the money, thank God for you ...

Last cider/apelwein I made threw mad sulfur, but it was all apple juice and some honey. Unless I'm getting my batches confused. Which is possible, but I think "rhino farts" is the common smell when you make normal cider.

A little yeast nutrient should reduce the smell of apple wine fermentations.

Ahhhh. I did put some Wyeast nutrient in this batch of Graff and it is indeed smelling a LOT better than the straight apple wine I've don't before.

Hey guys, I am from Ocala so I figured that was close enough to Gainesville to say whats sup. I've been in Ocala for about 7 months now and I know a few homebrewers here from work but I was wondering if there was any clubs or organizations in the area. I have never been to the homebrew store(s) in gainesville but I hear there is one there, which would make it prolly the closest to me.

Anyways just wanted to say hey and get a feel for the Central Florida brewing community, judging by the size of this post I imagine there are a good amount of brewers in the area.
