RO-water was heated
Grist at the ready
Went to pour in my obsessively-measured salts (spot on to the .00th of a gram), when I slipped, spilling most of them in the kettle... but some on the brew-room floor.
With most of the salts already in the water, there was no way out but through.
I wet my finger so the salts would stick to it
Got on the floor
And went back and forth, dipping my salts-covered fingers into the 154F strike water until most all were reclaimed.
I took a PH test at 15min... and hit my 5.6 goal on the nose!
Goes to show that while brewing *is* a science, as long as you keep things sanitary (salts excluded!), its a pretty *forgiving* science
