that's awesome.

I worked in Germany for about 5 months as a college intern. There were vending machines that had sode and beer in them in the large stairwells.

I never drank any at work, but I thought it was amusing.

Easter weekend we went on a brewery tour of Hook Norton Breweries, Oxfordshire, England.
Not only are the employees allowed to drink at work, they are encouraged to do so, to give "feedback" to the Head Brewer.

P.S. They also deliver their beer on a wooden "drey" (sp) pulled by two shire horses (and yes this does make their beer taste better)

I saw this on my phone yesterday at work.

We were all amused that they're striking over ONLY being able to drink beer at lunch.

Yeah, 3 pint-sized plastic cups per day. Just have to drink at lunch?

Notice the other perks?

I wonder what their national tax rate is...

You've gotta stand up for this stuff. If they give in to tighter rules now, it won't be long until all drinking is forbidden. I work for a German company that used to allow beer during lunch, but they took that away before I started. :(

That's a damn shame.

Luckily for me, I live close enough to work that I can stop home for lunch...
