Hi-

I have previously brewed kombucha with great success but stopped for a few months to move. I purchased a new scoby online and the first round of continuous brew didn't produce a pellicle but did get to the desired pH. The F2 that I bottled with apple cider was the most carbonated I've ever gotten.

pH for round two got very low (2.4) in about 3 days, but theres still no pellicle on the top, Only what looks like a very thin layer of yeast(?)

Anybody know whats going on? Is this gonna kill me? Do I start over fresh?

If your scoby isn't producing a typical pellicle, it's possibly not a good culture.

It's unlikely to be dangerous to your health though, so you can drink it if you want.
