Hey guys,
I've been struggling with temperature control lately as I had no fermentation chamber. My basement temperature fluctuate greatly as well...
So I finally made the move to get a SS BrewTech Chronical with a FTSs.
I bought the part I needed for the FTSs and I used a STC-1000+ to be able
to use different fermentation profile. I also have a heating brew belt I can use for those colder winter months. I am still debating weather I should or not as it says not to use it on metal or to cover it with a blanket. I'll test it over the neoprene cover eventually.
I tested the system with 5.5 gallon of water and it was able to maintain it at 5 deg. C. I am certain I could drop it even more if I wanted to.
I have a second STC-1000+ wired up as well as another pump ready for a second chronical for the left side. It'll take a few months to save up for it though.
Can't wait to test it with beer!
Cheers!
