I'll be putting quite a bit into this 5 gallon batch so I just want to run it by some fellow homebrewers and get a sanity check. The base beer will be Morebeer's Old Ale (extract version) which is below.

Extract:
12 lbs Ultralight Malt Extract
1 lb Dry Malt Extract
Steeping grains:
12 oz Crystal 75
6 oz Special B
2 oz English Brown Malt
2 oz Black Patent
Hops:
2 oz Northern Brewer
1.5 oz Northern Brewer
1 oz Northern Brewer
Yeast:
London Ale III
Other:
1oz sweet orange peel at 15 min left in boil

As for Secondary:
2 dark rum-soaked vanilla beans (1 month)
3 lbs total of rum-soaked dried currants, figs, dates, and cherries (1 month)
1oz rum-soaked oak cubes (1 week)

The one things I'm not certain about is the amount of rum soaking I'll be doing. I'm open to any suggestions though.
