I'm planning on using a couple of pounds of raspberries in my brew pot (I know, don't boil them) and was just wondering if anybody had any ideas on how to get them out of the pot and into the primary fermenter while keeping that little strainer in the funnel so not all the hop and grain rests go in as well.

Seems to me the only way to do that is to keep your fruit seperate from the hops-n-grains.

You could some of those bags to put the hops-n-grains in, and remove it after the boil.

You could get all the hops-n-grains out, then add fruit and heat.

When I made a blackberry stout, I let all the fruit and hop gack into the primary and siphoned my wort off the gack and onto new fruit in the secondary.

Also, I get the grains out before I boil anything.

good luck!
