I brewed a batch of wheat beer about three weeks ago and I'm ready to move it to secondary and add my fruit. I was originally going to go with raspberry but decided to go with blueberry orange and think I might add some cinnamon.

I have a 6g batch. I have 4lb of oranges and 3lb of blueberries and a jar of cinnamon sticks. So for 6g how much of each ingredient should I add?

warning on the cinnamon-a little goes a looong way. start with maybe 1/2 to 1 stick and go from there. As for the fruit, freeze/thaw cycle a few times for the fruit to break down the cell walls inside the fruit and give you better utilization. When im doing a new fruit recipe i will almost always add smaller amounts than i think i need in order to test how the flavors will come out. Whats the starting and final gravity of your beer for reference and what flavors would yopu like to dominate it? On second thought i dont know if the cinnamon would be a good idea with this-might taste a bit odd in a fruit wheat like this

After calling the local home brew store, I decided to skip the orange since it adds a lot of acid and changes the ph quite a bit, according to HBS. So I just added mixed berries, mostly blueberries with some raspberries and blackberries. I also shipped the cinnamon, if I want to I will just add a slice of orange and stir with cinnamon stick when I put a glass. We will just have to wait and see what it tastes like.

For orange flavour I use the zest from a few oranges. Adds a nice element to the beer.
