Just finished my first kegerator build.







Pulled the top off
















Carefully cut a gap to run my tubing making sure I didn't hit the cooling lines












Removed more insulation to put a sturdy base to attach the tower and removed the plastic fins from the fridge top so it would sit flat when I reinstalled it




Rails for a nice ascetic look








Placed a cut solo cup and filled with copper bb's so the bb's would rest on the cooling lines and then contact the copper pipes (1/2" inside diameter) that would have the beer lines running thought them (I'm hoping they keep the lines nice and cool) the copper pipes also extend into the fridge by about and inch or inch and a half









Wood reinforcement and top reinstalled















Finally done

How does the copper pipes work for keeping the lines cool??? I could see doing something like this in a keezer build to keep the lines chilled properly.

The tower is cool to the touch so it seems to be having the intended effect.

Looks awesome, for a second I thought you were using the copper as your serving lines. Well done.

One thing that I did with a very similar build was move the CO2 tank outsidae the fridge. I also used an eva dry device to cut down the condensation.

This, all i could think is wow so much hard work and his beer will taste like crap!

Nice build, my first build looked pretty close to yours. I like how you used the copper for passive cooling and the use of BB's is a clever addition. Quick question for you. Why the third copper pipe?

That thin insulating liner is not enough, that's why your tower is cool to the touch. Cold beer lines are better than a cool tower. I would fill that tower up with expanding foam, it will keep the lines colder and you wont have any condensation to wipe up.
