I have a 2 liter growler that I recently used to bottle my brew. Would it be ok if I drank a glass of brew, close the growler and put the rest of it in the fridge? How long would my beer stay fresh if I slowly consumed it?

I cant drink 2 liters of beer in a day:drunk: . Maybe 1 liter. :rockin:

Chill it first and it should be good for 4-5 days, more if it's a fliptop. It will lose carbonation. Two pints a day is about right for me.

im not 100% sure on this as i myself have never tried it, but ive heard (if your beer is not in a fliptop style growler) that you can squeeze a few more days of freshness out of it by simply recapping it after you pour. thats assuming you have a capper of course. i dont like to put beer back in the fridge after i open it, i worry that it gets lonely.

The beer won't lose it's 'freshness' at all. It will go flat fairly quickly however.

It may get oxidized if left for more than a few days. Just keep it cold and you should be ok on both carbonation and oxidation for two days if needbe. I usually save the big ones for when others are drinking as well - all gone!
