What is the general consensus in regards to the maximum amount of time before frozen hops lose quality and are no longer good to use.

Thanks

Stored in vacuumed sealed bags in the freezer, I would say a year or two. The oils and alpha acids might not be the same as the day you bought them but they are still fine to use.

Propery vacuum sealed in those mylar bags and in the freezer, I've use hops up to 4 years old. I have some 2006 hops I was contemplating using- if I open them, and they smell good, I may use them in a brew.

Last weekend I cracked open a pound of Northern from 2009 (in original packaging). The sniff test told me they had lost some aroma but the taste test told me they were just fine. So, in to the boil they went!
