We have found the second pulley works very well and makes bag hoisting a bit easier. Double pulley options are for 1/8" or better yet 1/4" pulley options. 1/4" ratchet pulley with second pulley works very well for larger batches making 30 plus pound grain bills manageable.

What is this double pulley set up you speak of?

"double pulley" consists of a ratchet bottom pulley, and a top free spinning top pulley offering 2-1 mechanical advantage. !/4" pulley rated for 150 lbs, and 1/8" pulley rated for 75 lbs. (not that I'd recommend) just a rating

Pretty much the way I have mine set up already. Thank you for the reply though. I was going to get an extra grain bag but I just scored a new kettle out of Spikes bargain bin so it is going to have to wait.
