Thank you Michelob! (Never thought I'd say that...!)
The Michelob area at Fremont Oktoberfest last night had chests full of 0.5oz bags of Hallertau hops (nitrogen packed I assume). I got about 6-8 bags, so now I have 3 or 4 oz of free Hallertau.
I doubt there were many other homebrewers, if any, there taking hops. A few people just took bags and ripped them open to throw the hops on a table and smell them. Felt kind of like a waste, but at least not too many bags went that way.
If you're going to the festival today, they might have more left, not sure.
