Nope. In fact, since this thread started 2 days ago, I have consumed 9 hamburger patties and 3 chicken patties from fast food restaurants. Even more if we go back 2 more days.

The REAL "Disgusting" thread you're looking for is THIS one. That'll make you sick, in fact.

That's why there's this thread too! We are well-balanced!

Kind of. I eat fast food maybe 4 times a year when I'm in the car going back to VA. Makes me feel like a sloth.

I dunno, didn't read it :D

But...I do recall one guy on here, can't remember his name, but he came down with 'fatty liver disease' because he was consuming fast food burgers like many times a week :(.

My wife misses the Jalapeno Poppers from BK, but like all fast food imho it can never come anywhere close to home made done right. At any rate, I was really hungry coming home from my bosses Christmas party and I stopped into MCd and got 2 of those cheeseburgers at the drivethrough. It was like eating cardboard. At first I thought it may have been something with a microwave problem (it does that to breads, kind of evaporates the water and makes those rough spots) but this was different. It literally had the texture of cardboard.

White Castle's (like Krystals to some of you) used to have incredible cheese fries. The cheese was hot in one of those ball park style pumps. HOT

Now some ingenious moron figured it would be cheaper or whatever to serve COLD frigging cheese in a little plastic cup with celophane over it.

BUGGAR THAT!!!

I miss the all-you-can-eat lunch buffet at Shakey's Pizza. Not that it was that great, but more for nostalgia's sake. I know there are still a couple open in Wisconsin, but most of them closed up years ago. There may be a handful open today.

On a different note, the McRibs of today suck. I rememeber when they first introduced them ~1980 and they were great. I rarely eat there anymore, but when I heard the McRib was back, I got one about a month ago. It was the first time I'd had one since the 1980s and it was just nowhere near the same! It was smaller, the sauce was bland, the meat had no flavor and the texture was like chewing latex.

However, I did get a chocalate shake to go with it and, man! What did they do to their shakes recently? Back in the day, their shakes were just awful. All cornstarchy and bland. The shake I had with my crappy McRib was so intensely chocolate, it was like chocolate crack!

Believe it or not there's a Shakey's in Palm Springs, CA.

I saw Robin Yount and family at the Shakey's on National Ave in Milwaukee back in his playing days.

I believe that Shakeys was bought out by an asian group some years back. Doesn't seem like many are left here in the states anymore, but Shakeys is a good sized chain in the Philippines.

Correction.... they were owned by a group in Singapore, but were sold to an outfit in California in 2004. Just looked it up on wikipedia.

Rax Roast Beef - Better than Arby's IMHO

Worst Fast Food Invention - Clamito from Taco Bell - Seriously, who thought a fried clam burrito would be a good idea? Then again, look at how popular fish tacos are.

This may be showing my age.... but I barely remember that the Kentucky Fried Chicken in my old hometown of Liberal, Kansas used to sell Roast Beef sandwiches and Ham sandwiches. This is going back to the late 60's, early 70's at the latest. I never ate them, my mom loved them. I was a kid and always had chicken. I remember my mom being very disappointed when they were discontinued. Anybody else remember these?

Man. I haven't thought of Shakey's pizza in more than 25 years..I had a birthday party there. I think i was in 6th grade.. Jill Taylor was my girlfriend and she gave me a leather braclet..:D Good times...

When I was in school and broke, I loved Chicken Littles from KFC..They were so cheap. I would eat 6 or 7 with some Mashes and gravy..OOOHHH YAAAA!!!

I'm friggin starving now..

Shakeys Pizza....How could I forget about that. The Shakeys in the town I grew up in was closed, vandalized, then demolished for a highway expansion project.

Im visiting my folks over the weekend, I know I had a birthday party there once when I was a wee lad, maybe Ill post some pictures for nostalgia purposes.

Years ago-- I'm talking back in the early 80's and before-- Shakey's used to have kind of good pizza. In recent years when they went to an all-the-time buffet setup I didn't really care for their pizza. Now there is only one left around here that I know of. All the others seem to be gone. I haven't been there in years so I have no idea if it's any good there or not.

Arbys French Dip
Hardees Frisco Burger - I haven't been there for a while but I remember not being able to get this.

Taco Bell had fries a few years ago.

Anyone remember the McNugget specials McDs had back in the 80s that were called something like "Fiesta McNuggets"? You'd get a South American coin from whatever country was featured that week and a sauce that was supposedly "inspired by" it or some BS. I still have a bunch of the coins.

They also had teriyaki McNuggets back then as well. I don't know what flavors they have now.

Chili Cheese Curly Fries with Sour Cream from Jack in the Box.... They quit carrying chili.

It's not "fast food" but I miss the Denny's Pizza Omelette. Anyone else remember this? I think they stopped selling them in the late 80's.

Basically it was a pepperoni, greenpepper, & onion omelette, covered in pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese.

It was great late night/after bar food.
