Forgot to add priming sugar before transfer to bottle bucket

I did a very noobish thing today on my fourth brewing attempt. I forgot to put the priming sugar solution in the bottling bucket before transfer.

At this point, should I try to add the solution, causing as little disruption (oxygenation) as possible, and then try to slowly stir in order to mix reasonably well?
