Forgot to add lactose. Need help fast please.

Just breweda big RIS and forgot to add lactose. Have cooled but not pitched yeast. Can I just reboil a quart or so, add the lactose, chill and pitch yeast? Any help is appreciated.

Yeah, that should work. Be careful not to caramelize the lactose though. Make it short and quick.

I would just heat it just to dissolve it and add it back no major boil needed.

You can add lactose at any point. Boil, secondary, at bottling. Don't sweat it.
