So my Brewer's Best Witbier fermented in the primary for a week, and has been in the secondary glass carboy for 2 weeks. Today is supposed to be bottling day, so I got all my bottles sanitized and was ready to go.
I looked in my box to grab my bag of priming sugar, when lo and behold, I also found a 1 lb bag of Breiss DME Bavarian Wheat (65% wheat/35% barley) that was supposed to go in my boil!
I was thinking about using 1 1/4 cup of this DME as my primer instead of the 5 oz. of priming sugar the kit came with? Would that impart any additional flavor/boost abv at this point?
I used tastybrew.com calculator to see what this beer will be like without that 1 lb and here's what it said:
OG 1.040
FG 1.010
IBU 30
ABV 3.9 %
SRM 3
Brewer's Best Witbier Kit:
FERMENTABLES
3.3 lb. Wheat LME
1 lb. Wheat DME
1 lb. Breiss DME (65% wheat/35% barley) - the one I forgot
SPECIALTY GRAINS
1 lb. Two Row Pale Malt
.5 lb. Flaked Wheat
.5 lb. Flaked Oats
HOPS
1 oz. Bittering Willamette
1 oz. Flavoring Mt. Hood
SPICE PACK (orange peel and coriander)
YEAST 1 Sachet Safbrew WB-06
