Greetings everyone!

A coworker started talking to me about brewing about a year ago. It peaked my interests right away as I love other hobbies such as making jerky, sausage, snack sticks, BBQing & smoking meats, etc.

I have been talking with him and collecting supplies over the last few months. I am going to be doing all grain from the start.

Looking forward to learning and sharing! :)

Here is what I have so far...

Welcome to HBT and the brewing obsession. Looks like you're getting off to a running start. Having a mentor can get you up to speed quickly.

Brew on :mug:

Welcome!

My suggestions:
Take things slow. Plan out each brew day.
Don't panic when something goes wrong. Don't dump a batch until it is actually finished and you have a chance to taste it.
For your first few brews start with simple proven recipes - complex does not necessarily equal better.
Keeps good notes.
Don't rush the fermentation, give each brew time to complete, two or three weeks before bottling or kegging.
And finally, have fun!
