I have a starter going for a stout I'm brewing this weekend. Even though I had the top loosely covered with foil, today I noticed a small fly/gnat landed in it and died. Should I worry about this causing an infection? I can get another vial of yeast tomorrow and make another starter before I brew the stout.

Thats what my thinking was, but I wanted to check with the experienced people. Thanks.

Yeah, my excellent math skills proved to me that a $7 vial of yeast was better to waste than a $60+ batch of beer.
