Fixing kegco stout faucet

I have a kegco stout faucet where the inner black plastic cylinder broke in half. I can’t find any replacement parts for the faucet other than orings and restrictor plate, so I emailed kegco and they don’t have anything other than the basics. I asked if taprite or micromatic parts are compatible and they said some customers have reported that they are. Has anyone had any luck with new parts from a different brand? I didn’t know if I should try and order that part, or the complete upper half.
