I'm trying to add a port to screw in a 1/2" npt based thermistor to the end of my CFC. It's a DIY with 1/4" copper refrigeration tubing (3/8" nominal OD). I wanted something like the attached photo with 3/8" copper sweat fittings and a female NPT fitting perpendicular to the flow direction. My google-fu has failed me in finding something like this. Help me out with a link please! Thanks

Good luck!
I had zero whilst perusing McMaster -Carr for such an animal!

Edit: the one pictured..........The material is brass?

Where did ya' ya' find that part / photo?

If brass, it'll solder quite nicely!

I just added a 1/2" NPT male fitting onto the end of my 3/8" pipe so I could attach a SS 1/2" tee and then hook my thermo probe and male camlock to the end.

Yes brass, but it's 1/2"x1/2"x1/2" (don't recall where I saw that). I suppose I could get a 3/8"x1/2" reducing coupling and a small section of 1/2" pipe, but I'm not afraid to admit I'm terrified of adding crevices and seams to the wort-side of my CFC. I suppose I could get at this portion of it with a brush after a brew day, but the less connections the better is my feeling, hence me looking for a 1-piece solution.

You could get some over sized reducer bushings, and turn the threads off of them, so they become "sweat" bushings, and solder them in place as needed.

Once soldered in place, they would pretty much be "1 piece".

Is that a 1-piece solution or did you have put a coupling and a pipe in there also? (links/pics if you gotem please!)

I did the same. Used a 50mm (2") long probe.
