sorry if this has been posted - had a search but couldn't find anything...

has anyone fitted a fermenting lock to a brew bin? what sort of equipment is required? i'm assuming it'll be o-rings etc.?

would it be better just buying a new bin with an airlock fitted?

Cheers!

I'm not sure what exactly a "Brew Bin" is. I presume you mean a plasting fermenting bucket and lid.

If so a grommet and drill is required. an oring will not do the job. As forwhat is better that depends on what is available to you from where and how much it costs.
Grommets are pennies. A decent LHBS should be able to supply a lid with grommet ready fitted or modify yours for you.

As for if it's been posted or not.....with over 1 million posts you can bet it has. But if a quick look and search doen't come up trumps then post away.
