hi all ive just joiend the forum and looking forward to having a good luck about

ive just made my first batch of cidwitch from apples ive pulped and pressed ive checked the gravity and it was 1050 ive added shugar added nuitrent ive now added the yeast i just wonderd do i nead to stir it all up or is the yeast fine just sitting on the top it has started to froth allso i have it in a brew bucket do i nead to keep the lid on or do i leve it off thanks for any help
 
You don't need to stir the yeast in. You should use a lid though, with an airlock or someway for the CO2 to escape.

You can brew cider without the lid, using the natural yeasties in the air which will inevitably land in your cider. That's the old school way.
