great yarmouth
hi there i got a homebrew ale kit a coopers real ale kit
i done what it said on the tin but when adding the 20 litres off cold water i realised i only had a 12 litre bucket but need 22 litres off mix (should off checked the size)
my questions are will it work with only 12 litres off mix?
i havent added the yeast so can i leave mixture till tomorrow till i get a bigger bucket
thanks paul

Ideally you need to get that yeast in there asap or too much DMS will build up. Although i sometimes leave it for long periods of time without any off flavours so you should be ok waiting till tommorow for a bigger bucket;)

what is dms? so would it be a good idea to put the yeast in then put in bigger bucket tomoz and add 10 more litre off water. or is this beer going to be a failure?

Great beer usually starts with a small mistake:
By having a smaller volume with a 22 liter recipe you have a more concentrated brew. Higher gravity. More alcohol. You may possibly have a more violent fermentation. Put it somewhere that is easy to clean if the airlock blows. Put in your yeast and keep an eye on it. You'll have good brew.
