Hey there, Guys (and Girls),

I've been interested in home-brewing for years, ever since I found out that it was possible. My nearest LHBS is an hour away, so its taken me a while to get into this hobby. I've been doing my research, because I want to go into it knowing as much as I can. At the suggestion of the LHBS guy, I picked up a basic 6.5 gal setup, a cooper's real ale kit, and some pilsner pale DME. I still need to pick up a stock pot somewhere, and a siphon, a capper, and bottle caps next time I'm at the LHBS. I fell in love with your forum as soon as I found it. If there is any one in Siskiyou County that wants to come hang out when I brew my first attempt, PM me.

I'm nowhere near you, but welcome to the forum! You will find there are plenty of great webstores that will do flat rate shipping for you, which is often cheaper than gas. I live 45 minutes from my LHBS so I use online shops often. Take some time and look at the vendors page, I have personally used northernbrewer.com, rebelbrewer.com, and williamsbrewing.com with great results. I am sure there are others that are very good as well.

Thanks! I usually just wait till I'll be in town for something else, but I'll check out the websites you mentioned.
